The facts are devastating but true. Millions of Americans have been affected by the current breakdown in the economy. As a result, millions are unemployed, thousands of property foreclosures happen every month, and millions are hungry. Thankfully, Feed The Children has always been there, whether in times of national crisis or not.

Feed The Children’s recent programs are centered on children, families and individuals affected by job layoffs and property foreclosures. One of their programs called Americans Feeding America Emergency Caravan have sent, and are still are sending, trucks filled with food and essentials so that these suffering families may have food on their tables and hope for a better future.

As the world continues to hear about devastating stories about food and hunger, Feed The Children continues to live out its mission of delivering necessities to the needy. The organization will celebrate their 30th anniversary this year, 2009, by doing what they do best - helping the community.

Feed The Children was created by Larry and Frances Jones in 1979. From a humble beginning in their hometown Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, they have grown to become one the biggest charities in the United States and the world. When children are hungry, Feed The Children is there.
